The 3 Most Effective Novated Lease Safety Features
If you’re looking for a new car, there are three safety features that are an absolute must to include.
Some car safety technologies including adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking and lane departure warning, can lead to a significant reduction in car crash insurance claims.
Adaptive Cruise Control
This technology takes your traditional cruise control to the next level. Where cruise control relies heavily on human control, adaptive cruise control automatically adapts to changing traffic conditions by slowing the car down or speeding up where necessary. As the driver, you can input your desired speed and the gap – distance between you and the car in front – you wish to maintain. ACC maintains this gap by speeding up and slowing down your car where needed.
Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB)
AEB is a technology in your car that not only makes it better, bur also safer. The system saves the day when your mind has wondered while driving, by alerting you to an imminent crash and helping you use the maximum braking capacity of the car. In some cars it can even prevent rear end accidents at speeds up to 60km/h.
Lane Departure Warning
This is a system that monitors marking on the road and ensures a driver stay within these markings, should a driver veer out of their lane a warning appears, either visually, audibly or physically. These are intended to prompt the driver to return to the center of their lane. The system is deactivated when the driver turns on the indicator as this is an intentional lane departure.
